White tigers are carnivorous. Basically, the tiger's diet varies according to what is locally available. White tigers prefer deer, young buffalo, young elephants, and wild pigs. When starving, White tigers will eat almost anything, for instance, fish, fowl, lizards, frogs, crocodiles, or carrion.
Since White tigers are capable of consuming as much as 40 pounds of meat at a time, a tiger may not eat for several days. Man-eating and cattle killing are attributed to older tigers, and those that are injured.
